As we wound our way through Richmond last weekend, a few definitive plans were on our schedule. One of them was to catch some beer release parties, which are always a blast. But when one is a release party at Strangeways, you never know what you are going to get. And that is the best part. Craft beer festivals are a great way to try new beer. It is an opportunity for breweries to show a microcosm of what they have to offer, whether it be year round flagship beers or seasonal releases. Back a few weeks ago, we attended the Mariner's Museum Craft Beer Festival and had that opportunity to do just that with a few local suds slingers. We've been gone a little while, but as you can see, the results were well worth it. Virginia Brew Review has moved into the 2.0 era, with a new design for our 2nd year around.
